I have an artist's spirit. Until now, I didn't allow myself to be an artist - I only worked with artists. I managed a division of the major New York talent agency, Wilhemina. It took a recent tragedy and mental illness to release my own creativity. In May 2006, I nearly died giving birth to my son Gus. He almost died as well.
Together we had a painful recovery and depression set in. Mania overcame me and I started making felt cuffs and belts. Soon after, I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, which eventually inspired me to launch Lithium Design, pushing me to do what I've always wanted to do - create.
