I'm a designer with a background in history and journalism, so I'm a bit of a research geek and put a lot of time into research as well as formal exploration. Whether it's a complex chart or a card with a few words on it, I try to make work that synthesizes a lot of information into a clean design. More than anything, I just want to create stuff that makes people laugh and think (but not necessarily in that order). I do screenprinting and letterpress, but when I'm not working with semi-toxic lead type and ink, I'm a graphic designer. I also write and photograph and cook ridiculous amounts of vegan junk food, and when possible I try to incorporate my own work (soy caramel stains and all) into my design.
